- Name's Matt, damn glad to meet ya. After 22 years of moving around between NYC, Brazil, Columbus OH, and four years at Colgate University, I decided two years ago to set off on a 27-month stint as a Peace Corps volunteer in Peru. That stint has since been extended for another year, in a different but no less fascinating role and location. Can't promise award-winning journalism here, but I hope you find my ramblings to be tolerable and maybe even marginally insightful. Enjoy.

Hey Matt I'm friends with your sister Gena. She said she told you about how I was interested in doing the things that you are doing in my future. I plan on joining the peace corp one day and I do not know how interested you are in journalism but I plan on majoring in it once I begin college. I was hoping you could teach me a thing or two about the process of becoming a volunteer, and an awesome blogger and what not haha.
